Group Division (For Larger Rides)

If needed, divide riders into pace groups: fast, medium, or casual.

Assign clear roles:

• 🚴 Lead Rider (front guide)
• 🛡️ Sweeper (stays at the back)
• 🚨 Support/Marshal (optional, for larger rides)

Safety Rules

• Helmets are mandatory for all participants
• Ensure all bikes are in safe working condition: brakes, tires, and lights (if riding early or in the dark)
• Maintain a safe distance between riders – no overlapping wheels
• Use hand signals for stopping, turning, or warning of obstacles
• No sudden stops in the middle of the group – move aside gradually if needed
• No headphones allowed while riding

Group Riding Etiquette

• If applying a No Drop Policy, ensure no rider is left behind – especially newcomers
• Obey all traffic laws, lights, and signals
• Keep communication open – inform others if someone is left behind or needs assistance
• Do not overtake the lead rider without permission – this helps maintain group structure and route consistency
