Balfolk Dance
Balfolk is a set of all the dances of the European popular/traditional repertoire, with main attention to the French and English repertoire but not only.
They are dances that have been danced in Europe for centuries, from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance and beyond, and over the centuries have undergone the natural evolution of everything that is alive, both in terms of dance, form and music.
They are dances of various kinds; from circle dances, in chains, in groups, in couples and so on. They are often simple dances to learn that allow anyone to throw themselves and be overwhelmed by the positive energy that dance causes.
Today in Europe there are dozens and dozens of festivals spread throughout the country and throughout the year, where tens of thousands of people of all ages, colors, religions, sexes and social backgrounds take part attracted by the spirit of sharing, by the energy created by dancing all together in joy and serenity, each with their own style, emotional/cultural baggage and desire to hold hands and dance the love for life.
